Beans with Bacon and Brown Sugar



*Ingredients


°6 slices bacon
°2 cans cooked beans (16 ounces)
°1 onion, diced
°¼ cup yellow mustard
°¾ cup ketchup
°1 cup packed brown sugar
°1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, seeded and diced
 
*Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cook the bacon in a large skillet or microwave until most of the fat is released, but the bacon is still flexible. Drain on paper towels & set apart.
In a 9-inch square dish, combine the beans, onion, mustard, ketchup, brown sugar and apple. Garnish with bacon slices.
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes in a preheated oven, until the bacon is crispy and the beans sparkle.
